Every now and then brands decide to match themselves up with a prominent influencer to get more sales going and pretty much to reach an audience. This is what happened a couple of days ago with J Balvin and McDonald’s.
It’s no surprise that the announcement happened during Hispanic Heritage Month since that’s when everyone pulls out all the stops. However, the meal will only be available through November 1. The collaboration comes after the success of the Travis Scott combo meal.
“From topping charts around the world to landing countless award nominations, J Balvin is a trailblazing international icon,” said McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Morgan Flatley. “He’s always been a regular at McDonald’s restaurants during his concert tours, and now we’re excited to bring his go-to order to our menus across the U.S.”
The collaboration with J Balvin makes sense since he’s pretty much one of the biggest Latino stars out there right now. He recently collaborated with Guess and is currently nominated for 13 Latin Grammys.
