Who is Eric?
I have over 10 years of communications and marketing experience and currently serve as the Director of Social Media Strategy & Innovation at Visit Philadelphia.
I moved back to the Philadelphia area in late 2021 after spending nine years in Northern Virginia where I worked in the healthcare and government industries including the 2020 Census campaign. I have managed many social media campaigns for the Atlantic City Alliance, ICF, the American Diabetes Association, marketing & promotions for WWSI Telemundo Philadelphia, and media relations for the Visit Philadelphia (formerly GPTMC). My first “real” job was with Taller Puertorriqueño, Inc.
One of my most proudest achievements was being named one of the “Delaware Valley’s Most Influential Latinos,” an event produced by the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress and Impacto Latin Newspaper, and in 2011, I took home the Hispanic Professional of the Year Award, one of three Excelencia Hispanic Business Awards distributed annually by the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. And I also received a Master of Arts in Writing Studies from St. Joseph’s University.
