Opinion: Why I Love Cardi B (even more)

Back in April of this year, I wrote about my love for Cardi B. And since then, a lot has happened.

The most relevant piece of news is her shoe-throwing/not-having it fiasco at New York Fashion Week. And to be honest, who cares? And to those that think it was going to ruin her career? It’s gotten better with her appearances and performances at Milan Fashion Week.

My love for Cardi includes everything from her personality to the obvious musical talent. Some say, “She doesn’t write her stuff,” but I say, “who cares?” The music industry is and will always evolve into not just songwriting, but also entertaining.

Cardi B is also one of those female hip-hop artists that has hit various musical genres. Yes, others have as well, but Cardi is hitting the Latino market with a bang. From her amazingly amazing “I Like It” collaboration with Bad Bunny and J Balvin to her collaboration with Ozuna, Cardi is not stopping at hip hop.

In addition to her Latino collaborations, Cardi has recorded music with Bruno Mars, Rita Ora, Maroon 5, Migos, G-Eazy, Pardison Fontaine, and soon: DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, and Ozuna.

Say what you want about her actions, attitude, etc. Cardi is an amazing entertainer, makes great music, and keeps it 100 percent. Society tries to change us to fit these rules, but I like someone who stays the same in and out of fame.

The question of the day is: Will Cardi perform with Maroon 5 at the Superbowl Halftime Show?
